About Koh Rong

Koh Rong (Khmer: កោះរង់), is the second larges island of Cambodia. Located in Koh Kong Province about 25 kilometers off the Sihanoukville's coast in the Gulf of Thailand, the island has an area of approximately 78 km². Currently, there are four small villages: Koh Tuich, Dam Dkeuw, Prek Svay and Soksan.

Koh Rong Island is a great place to relax or to explore because the island is still almost deserted, undeveloped and natural treat. The trip to Koh Rong takes two or more hours from the mainland, in Sihanoukville, Cambodia. Check out external links for more details. It's a secret island. However, the plans for a massive resort complex, complete with golf courses, airport, casinos are taking shape; it will soon be one of the famous touristic destination of Cambodia.
